Let’s see if it’ll ever make the frontpage of the search results and how it affects the readership numbers.

Whatever you call it, the trick is to access Myspace.com through a web proxy instead of directly. So while the firewall thinks that you’re looking at the proxy site, you’re actually viewing Myspace pages. The other main benefit is better privacy protection (i.e. anonymous surfing) since technically, it’s the web proxy that’s visiting the other websites and not you. This trick works with all websites and not only Myspace, e.g. Facebook and Friendster.

The one caveat of using an anonymous web proxy is that your IT Administrator will find out sooner or later, and block it using the firewall too. You’ll then need to look for a new web proxy until it gets blocked again …you get the picture!
